The Biggest Mistake You Can Make After a Reverse Diet

After ANYONE reverse diets, it’s imperative to give your body time to adjust to your new higher calorie range or your bodies new “set point.” 

If you rush into a cut too soon following a reverse diet, all your hard work may go to waste because the body needs time to acclimate to the higher calorie range in order for the metabolism to respond. 

As we know, things don’t happen over night in the body. 

I typically recommend someone stay in maintenance (the higher calorie range they reach after a reverse diet) for as long as they were in a deficit. So If you dieted hard for four months and lost weight, after you finish your reverse diet and come into maintenance calories, consider staying there for at least four months, or longer!

The reality is I see the best results from people who don’t rush the process. The longer you stay out of a deficit, the better results you will see when you DO cut.
