Why Prioritizing Your Inner Peace is the Ultimate Form of Self Care

Making tough choices is an inevitable part of life, but prioritizing your inner peace should never be a challenging decision.

I protect my peace by:

  • Setting boundaries

  • Meditating

  • Going to therapy

  • Breathe work

  • Working out

  • Microdosing

  • Walking daily

  • Letting go of what doesn't serve me

  • Keeping people in my life that value and respect me

Keeping people in our lives who value and respect us isn’t always easy, as sometimes toxic people might be related to us, can even be our partner or our long time best friend.

I get it, it’s far from easy to cut the cord, especially when you might have decades of history with this person or even be related to them. But give yourself permission to let them go and release the guilt that comes with putting yourself first.

Just because they’re related to you by blood, or your partner of 20+ years, doesn’t mean they have permission to stay in your life. People grow and change and sometimes as we grow we leave people behind. It’s a painful but very real reality in this life.

The good news: you can still love them from a distance.

Remember, unconditional love does not mean unconditional tolerance and acceptance.

PROTECT YOUR PEACE and remember, you are your #1 priority.
